Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon of game viewing among baobabs and elephant herds.

Day 2: Into the Serengeti
Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands, past Maasai grazing lands, and descend to the Serengeti plains. Game drive en route to your camp.

Day 3: Full day in the Serengeti
A full day exploring the area best suited to the season — following the migration or searching for big cats around the kopjes and rivers.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Morning game drive in the Serengeti, then return towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, possibly stopping at Olduvai Gorge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater and return
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning of wildlife viewing, then climb out and drive back to Arusha.
